Vic Wright fashions exquisite sculptural forms with an explorative approach to her work. Capturing the visual differences between contrasting elements she creates a visual language between materials. Wright’s work references natural forms and she has found influence in how they display beauty in difference. Her interest in using industrial materials creates delicate tactile results. Demonstrated in the use of gold leaf softening the edges of heavy cement bases.

 

Vic Wright was born in Wigan, Greater Manchester. After completing her Fine Art degree at Humberside University she moved to London where she resided for a number of years. Wright now resides and works in North West England. She has recently had solo exhibitions at Form Lifestyle Store and has recently been featured in ‘Wilma’ editorial journal and ‘Material Source’.
